Anna Dudchenko

Anna Dudchenko is an Omani artist of Russian origin living and working in the Sultanate since 1999. She was born in Siberia, Russia, and spent her childhood in the southern part of the country.  After studying art for 6 years at a local art school, she entered the Krasnodar State University, where in 1996 achieved Masters Degree in Fine Arts and Art History. As an artist, Anna has participated in numerous group shows, charity events, organised ten very successful solo exhibitions in Oman which were attended by ministers, undersecretaries, ambassadors, leading businessmen, and art lovers. She illustrated 2 books, organized workshops and art classes for children and adults, donated paintings for various charity organizations, and worked on different projects and special commissions for private companies as well as the government. Among them: Royal Oman Police Club, Diplomatic Club, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman Qatar Insurance Company, Swiss Airlines, Oman Oilfield Supply Center, STS, Oman Arab Bank, Worley Parsons, Muscat Insurance Company, MHD auto division, Al Ahli Bank. In 2010 one of her paintings, “The Jewel of Muscat”, was given to the President of Singapore as a gift from an Omani Government. In 2011, 3 of Anna’s paintings became part of a modern art collection acquired by Bait Al Zubair Museum. In 2012, she produced 10 paintings for Amouage, a luxury perfume company, which were specially commissioned for the company’s new headquarters. Anna works with different media: pencils, oil, spray paint, and epoxy. Since January 2013, she runs a regular column about contemporary art in "Muscat Daily", the leading Omani newspaper
