From the very beginning, Hrair's artistic career has been crowned with success both in Lebanon and abroad, with numerous exhibitions held worldwide. By his work, Hrair has influenced the history of contemporary Lebanese art. His art imposes itself by its harmony, balance and stability and thus lies on the undefined frontiers where painting and music come together

Hrair's dominant theme is the horse, symbol of male virility, strength and mastery. Often the horse is accompanied by a "flower-woman" whose curling tresses intermingle with the spirals of his mane - an unreal doll-figure that recalls the creation of Eve.
Hrair, golden-fingered magician - Hrair the graceful maker of ethereal and diaphanous flower women undulating like lilies - Hrair the Eastern of arabesques and innovative calligraphy

Yet whatever his theme, it is the rich wealth of ornament that dominates his work. This richness is emphasized by the choice of colors bursting forth with violent life - oranges, greens, reds, and gold that fill the canvas with stirring exhilaration.
His artwork can be found in collections around the world from Queen Elizabeth II, the Middle Eastern Royal families, Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis, Antony Quinn, Prince Rainier of Monaco, Liza Minelli and Kirk Douglas
