Dubai, in gratitude to the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, has become an international meeting point for
artists and art enthusiasts. It attracts thousands of people every
year to witness spectacular art shows, films, installations and
performing arts focusing on a more Modern and Contemporary selection.
This year there will be up to 100 galleries from around the world
exhibiting at Madinat Al Jumeirah, not to mention the Art Park and
exciting site specific performances.
One of the largest art prizes in the world is presented at Art Dubai,
The Abraaj Capital Art Prize. This will be given to artists or art
galleries from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA).
